What goes together better than margaritas and guacamole? Nothing, that’s what! This guacamole gets a zing from lots of lime and orange juice and a real kick from a big splash of tequila. You can feel good about snacking on this guac since it’s full of vitamin C (35% DV) and good fats from California avocados, while providing 45% DV, Vitamin K and 40% DV Dietary Fiber.

4 ripe, medium Fresh California Avocados, seeded and peeled 2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice 1 Tbsp. fresh orange juice 3 Tbsp. good quality tequila 2 cloves garlic, minced 3 Tbsp. minced red onion 2 tsp. minced serrano pepper (optional) 2 Tbsp. finely chopped cilantro (optional) 1 tsp. coarse sea salt 1 tsp. black pepper
  1. In a bowl, mash avocados with lime juice, orange juice, and tequila leaving chunks of avocado if you like guacamole with texture.
  2. Add the garlic, onion, serrano, cilantro, salt and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with tortilla chips or a healthier option, jicama sticks.

Beverage Pairing:  Margaritas on the rocks or light beer with a lime.
