Cheese Grits with California Avocado

2 cups water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup stone-ground grits
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 ripe, Fresh California Avocado peeled, seeded and cut into ½” cubes

*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
