Seared Ahi & Avocado Salad with Sesame-Miso Dressing

Sesame-Miso Dressing (see make-ahead recipe below)

1 Tbsp. soy sauce
4 (5-oz.) ahi tuna steaks
1/2 cup white and/or black sesame seeds
As needed Oil, for grilling
2 ripe, Fresh California Avocados, halved and seeded
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 (5-oz.) bag baby lettuces

Sesame-Miso Dressing

1 green onion, minced
2 Tbsp. white miso paste
1/3 cup water
2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. canola oil
1 tsp. toasted sesame oil

*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
