Danielle Kartes is an author and recipe developer living near Seattle, Washington with her husband Michael, a photographer, and their two sweet boys, Noah and Milo. Together, the Karteses run their boutique food, lifestyle, and commercial photography business, Rustic Joyful Food. Rustic Joyful Food promotes loving your life right where you are, no matter where you are, and creating beautiful, delicious food that’s fuss-free with whatever you have available to you. Danielle is driven by happy accidents in the kitchen; fuss-free, delicious food; and her family. Her first book, My Heart’s Table, contains heartfelt stories and hearty recipes from a failed yet hopeful restaurateur; her sophomore book, Generations, is a look at family comfort food and the heirloom recipes that she grew up with. Her latest cookbook, Rustic Joyful Food: Meant to Share, was published in 2020 by Sourcebooks. Danielle appears regularly on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Hallmark’s Home and Family show, and The Rachael Ray Show.
