Ingredients
1 frozen banana, peeled and cut in chunks 1 ripe, Fresh California Avocado, seeded, peeled and quartered 2 cups fresh Naturipe® berries (use your favorite combinations of blackberries, blueberries, raspberries or strawberries) As needed Ice water Agave or maple syrup, to tasteInstructions
- Place frozen banana chunks, berries, and avocado in a blender and puree until smooth, adding a 1/4 cup of ice water at a time as needed to achieve desired consistency.
- Taste, and if desired sweeten with agave or maple syrup. Pour into smoothie glasses, discarding any berry seeds at bottom of blender.
Tip: Freeze the banana the day before you prepare these tasty smoothies.
Serving Suggestion: Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and additional berries if desired. As a variation, omit ice water and serve as a frozen dessert. Just grab some spoons and dig in!
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
