Ingredients
1 slice bread (crusty artisan breads wheat, multigrain) 1/2 ripe, Fresh California Avocado, peeled, seeded and mashed 1 egg 1/8 tsp. fresh cracked pepper, or to taste 1/8 tsp. sea salt, or salt to tasteInstructions
- Toast 1 slice bread.
- Spread with 1/2 mashed avocado.
- Spray a small nonstick skillet with cooking spray and fry egg medium (not runny).
- Place cooked egg onto avocado toast, sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
Serving Suggestion: Try with Artisan breads, wheat, multigrain, muffins or bagels.
Beverage Pairing: Hot coffee, hot tea or orange juice.
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
