A bright green delight, this Avocado Kiwi Smoothie recipe is quick and easy to make. Freezing fresh kiwifruit slices ahead of time means you don’t need to add any ice and the taste of the kiwi shines through in this avocado smoothie recipe. California Avocado makes this green smoothie silky and a touch of vanilla accents the flavor.

Serves: 1

1 cup coconut water, or more to preference 2 cups peeled kiwifruit slices, frozen 1/2 ripe, Fresh California Avocado, seeded, peeled and cubed as needed sweetener such as honey, maple or agave syrup, optional 1 tsp. vanilla, optional 1 oz. protein powder, optional
  1. In blender or food processor combine all ingredients. Use smoothie, purée or frappe setting if available. If necessary, stop blender and carefully stir ingredients, then blend again until smooth.
  2. Taste smoothie and add more coconut water to thin and/or sweetener and add-ins if desired.
  3. Pour into a large glass or smoothie bowl and enjoy.

Variations: In place of half of the kiwi slices use frozen diced pineapple. For or lighter color green smoothie use golden kiwi for part or all of the kiwi slices.

Serving Suggestion: Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
