Fresh California Avocado combines with pineapple, onion and crushed red pepper for an easy-to-make tropical relish. It’s great on burgers and sandwiches and can also be used as an avocado salsa for chips.

1/3 cup diced pineapple, fresh or canned 3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 2 tsp. chopped fresh mint 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes 1 ripe, Fresh California Avocado, peeled, seeded and diced
  1. Combine pineapple with next 5 ingredients.
  2. Gently fold in avocado.
  3. Let chill 1 hour to marry flavors.
  4. Best served the day it’s made.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with plantain or tortilla chips or use as a tropical avocado spread for sandwiches.

Beverage Pairing: A fruity rum cocktail.
