California Avocado Roasted Garlic Dip
|4||garlic head, roasted and squeezed from skin*|
|1/2||tsp.||coarsely ground black pepper|
As with all fruits and vegetables, wash avocados before cutting. Check out our tips for how to choose and use California Avocados
- Roughly mash avocado. (Texture should not be smooth.)
- Fold remaining ingredients into avocado. Chill 1 hour to marry flavors.
- Serve 1/4 cup dip with onion flowers, fried vegetables, chicken wings or use as a topping for grilled meat, poultry, fish or egg dishes.
- *To roast garlic put cloves in a square of foil, drizzle with 1 tsp. olive oil. Seal foil. Bake at 450 degrees F until garlic is very soft but not brown. Gently squeeze cloves from skin.
