This nutritious snack board is a light appetizer pairing perfect for happy hour, a snack or even lunch/dinner with the right fixin’s! A California Avocado hummus is the base for the tasty avocado dip with feta cheese and garlic. Learn how to make an avocado rose.

Avocado Dip Ingredients: 2 ripe, Fresh California Avocados, seeded, peeled and sliced 1/2 cup hummus 1 cup crumbled feta cheese 1/3 cup olive oil 1 lemon, juiced 2 cloves garlic, peeled 1/8 tsp. salt, to taste 1/8 tsp. pepper Snack Board Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups Avocado Dip (see make-ahead recipe below) 1 bell pepper, seeded and sliced 1/2 cucumber, cut into spears 3 large carrots, cut into sticks 1 cup snap peas 1 Belgian endive, torn 2 cups pita chips 1/2 cup cheddar cheese wedges 1 California Avocado rose (one avocado per rose) 5 basil leaves, for garnish

Avocado Dip Instructions:

  1. In a blender or food processor, add all ingredients and blend on high until the dip is smooth and creamy.
  2. Transfer to a serving bowl and top with additional crumbles feta cheese, if desired.

Snack Board Instructions:

  1. Center the avocado dip in the center of the snack board.
  2. Surround the area with bell pepper slices, cucumber spears, carrot sticks, snap peas, Belgium endive, pita chips, cheddar cheese wedges and avocado roses.
  3. Garnish the board with basil leaves.

Serving Suggestion: Serve as an appetizer board at a small gathering for grazing!
