You may think that you know Avocado Toast, and you might. It’s delicious, it’s packed with good fats and flavor, and it’s EASY. Just mash up an avocado with some lemon and salt and spread it on toast, right?

Well, yes. But there’s so much more that can be done with this breakfast and brunch favorite!

I sprinkle my basic avocado toast with crushed red pepper flakes for a morning pick-me-up that gets my taste-buds marching.

I suggest that at your next brunch, bunco, girl’s weekend, lake weekend, beach trip, family vacation {or Sunday, whatever} that you set up a DIY Avocado Toast Bar.

Seriously – there are SO many options! Just lay everything out, prep the toaster, and let your family, friends, guests have at it. See who can be the most creative, who comes up with the most unique, yet still delicious Avocado Toast recipe.

I wanted to share some of my favorite California Avocado Toast recipes with y’all to get the ball rolling. These are simple to put together, packed with flavor and will keep you going through the morning!

Avocados pair incredibly well with a variety of flavors, which makes them super versatile and allows you to play with them, a lot.

I’m sure you’ve had margherita pizza, or seen a caprese appetizer plate at a party or restaurant – how about trying a Margherita Avocado Toast?!

Just pair your mashed avocado with sliced tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, melted buffalo mozzarella and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. If you’re like me, an additional sprinkle of crushed red pepper and you have an elegant looking, yet super easy breakfast, brunch, snack, brinner!

How about a twist on the BLT? Just top your Avocado Toast with sliced tomatoes and crumbled bacon! Easy and delicious!

I’m a Southern Girl with a passion for Mexican food so one of my new favorites is a twist on seven layer dip.

Refried black beans, sharp cheddar, mashed avocado, salsa, and chopped cilantro. It’s delicious, filling, has a bite, and reminds me of football season and weekends on the beach!

What’s your favorite Avocado Toast combination?
