The Husbands That Cook invented a new vegan avocado guacamole with two different citrus fruits and nutritional yeast (also known as “nooch”) that add a slightly nutty and cheesy flavor to the dip. Wonderful!

Ingredients4 ripe, Fresh California Avocados, seeded and peeled 2 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice, to taste 2 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice, to taste 4 tsp. nutritional yeast flakes, plus more for garnish 2 tsp. finely minced white onion 2 tsp. finely minced jalapeño seeded and ribs removed, to taste 2 tsp. finely chopped cilantro, plus more for garnish 1 tsp. salt, to taste 1 tsp. hot sauce 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients and mash to your desired consistency.
- Adjust citrus, salt and heat level to your taste preference.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh cilantro and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast.
Serving Suggestion: Serve on veggie burgers or a quesadilla, or even by itself as a great appetizer!
Beverage Pairing: Pair with your favorite sparkling water or a cold beer.
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
