Ingredients
1 cup frozen mango* 1/4 ripe, Fresh California Avocado**, seeded, peeled and cut into quarters 1 large orange, zested and peeled 1 lime, juiced 1/2 cup water, unsweetened almond milk, or coconut water 1 pinch cayenne (optional) 1 Tbsp. honey or coconut nectar (optional)Instructions
- Add mango, avocado, orange and orange zest to a high speed blender.
- Mix lime juice and water (or almond milk or coconut water) and pour ¼ cup of mixture into blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Taste a spoonful of the smoothie and add more liquid if too thick. Add cayenne and honey, if using, and blend again until combined.
Serving Suggestion: Top with extra diced mango and avocado chunks along with a squeeze of lime.
*A medium mango averages 12-ounces and a ripe, 12-ounce mango will provide about 1 cup of fruit. Peel (1 to 2 mangos, depending on size) and cut into cubes, then freeze for a few hours or more, or purchase frozen mango cubes.
