Ingredients
1 ripe, Fresh California Avocado, seeded and peeled 1/8 tsp. sea salt, seasoned salt or onion salt, or to taste 1/4 tsp. hot sauce 1/2 small tomato, seeded and diced, optional 1 Tbsp. minced chives and/or cliantro, optionalInstructions
- Coarsely mash the avocado with the salt and hot sauce.
- Stir in any of the optional ingredients you want to use and enjoy.
Variations: It is easy to double this guacamole recipe to serve more people or customize it to your personal taste. Add a squeeze of lemon or lime, stir in diced onions, minced serrano or jalapeño peppers or top with crumbled cotija cheese.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with baby carrots for a pre-dinner snack or use to top everything from tacos to burgers to grilled meats.
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
