The Hass Kicker Cocktail was on the bar menu at Grange for California Avocado Month, but it’s a great spicy kick all year long.
Hass Kicker Cocktail

Ingredients
1/8 slice ripe, Fresh California Avocado, peeled 3 slices jalapeño, thin crosswise 2 oz. blanco tequila 1 oz. lime juice 1/2 oz. triple sec 1/2 oz. dry curacao (clear) 1/4 oz. simple syrup 1 slice ripe, Fresh California Avocado, thin with skin on Chili-lime seasoning, for garnishInstructions
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the peeled avocado and two of the jalapeno slices.
- Add the tequila, lime juice, triple sec, curacao, and simple syrup to the shaker with ice. Shake vigorously.
- Rim a rocks glass with Chili-lime seasoning and add fresh ice. Strain the cocktail into the glass.
- Garnish with the remaining jalapeno slice and the skin-on California Avocado.
Variations: Reduce the amount of jalapeno for a less-spicy drink.
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
