The Hass Kicker Cocktail was on the bar menu at Grange for California Avocado Month, but it’s a great spicy kick all year long.

1/8 slice ripe, Fresh California Avocado, peeled 3 slices jalapeño, thin crosswise 2 oz. blanco tequila 1 oz. lime juice 1/2 oz. triple sec 1/2 oz. dry curacao (clear) 1/4 oz. simple syrup 1 slice ripe, Fresh California Avocado, thin with skin on Chili-lime seasoning, for garnish
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the peeled avocado and two of the jalapeno slices.
  2. Add the tequila, lime juice, triple sec, curacao, and simple syrup to the shaker with ice. Shake vigorously.
  3. Rim a rocks glass with Chili-lime seasoning and add fresh ice. Strain the cocktail into the glass.
  4. Garnish with the remaining jalapeno slice and the skin-on California Avocado.

Variations: Reduce the amount of jalapeno for a less-spicy drink.

*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
