Ingredients
1 ripe, Fresh California Avocado, seeded and peeled 1/2 cup ranch dressing 1/2 tsp. minced garlic 1/4 cup minced fresh herbs (such as basil, dill, chives, tarragon*) 1 tsp. lime juice, or more to taste 1 1/2 lb. 80/20 lean ground beef 1 1/2 tsp. steak seasoning 4 brioche burger buns or your prefered bun choice 4 green leaf lettuce leaves 1 large, ripe tomato, cut into 8 slicesInstructions
- In a medium bowl, mash the avocado. Using a whisk, whip in the ranch dressing, garlic, herbs and lime juice until all the ingredients are combined and the sauce is smooth; set aside.
- Heat grill to medium high heat.
- Form four burger patties. Season one side of each patty and place seasoned-side down on the grill, season the other side, and cook to desired temperature, flipping as needed.
- While burgers are cooking toast the buns, spread the California Avocado Goddess Sauce on both top and bottom buns. Slice the remaining avocado into 12 slices and set aside.
- On the bottom bun place the leaf lettuce then the tomatoes. Top the tomatoes with each burger and the top buns. Serve.
Variations: Substitute veggie patties, ad slice smoked cheese or crispy bacon.

*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
Editor's Note
*Tarragon is often found in green goddess dressing recipes but it has a strong flavor and can be overpowering. Just a pinch of chopped fresh or dried tarragon in combination with other herbs is recommended for balanced flavor.
